Hi I'm helping a mate restore a bedford cf camper
We're getting cracked on bit I cannot work out why his indicators will only light up and not flasher
It's had a brand new flasher can and still the same

He has after market rear clusters and I'm not 100% on working out the correct watts these should be

As I'm writing this more ideas are popping in to my head on why but all input is grately recieved

Thanks team

Are they led lights? The flasher relays need a load on them to make them work. You will need to add resistors to increase the load so the flasher relay works correctly.

alternatively, i have seen flasher relays that are specifically for led lights.

Nah not leds, it the watt rating on the bulbs is to low I'm guessing this will cause it
Is there a formula to work this out

Yes mate, same sort of thing as leds consume very little power too.

i would have thought the flasher relay would have an operating load rating to get it to work. Normal indicator bulbs are 21w. You have 2 per side, so i would say your looking at a minimum of 40w per side to activate a standard relay correctly.

Yeh man just spoke to him and he thinks he may have bought low watt side light bulbs for em so will check the load rating in the morning

Thanks repped
