inners drive shaft cup

i have a knocking noise when i turn left i have replaced both outer cv joints.i have just noticed that the cup that slides into the gear box has a lot of movement in it i can slide it back and forth like 1cm but the drivers side is fine?could this be my problem and if so can i buy a new inner cup?thanks

its supposed to slide in and out dude to allow for the suspension going up and down.

if its worn you would need the cup and new bearings for the tripod. easier trying a good second hand complete shaft dude.

just found that now once i moved the other side me jumping to conclusions again.bloody camskill have sent the wrong boot though grr
