This post below is from midway through the thread, page 3 or so. As of very recently, apparently insurance companies in Ireland are just simply refusing to quote on anything regarded as an import. Makes for interesting reading. Anyone experience this recently? (Link too thread below--- be warned its long and tedious, but it seems ALOT of people have suddenly started being point blank refused by ins companies except quinn)

I would like to update something I mentioned earlier. I said that BRITTON INSURANCE will not now cover Jap Imports. This is correct - at the moment, but I got a mail from them this morning which said:
"At the moment we haven’t got any companies that will take Japanese imports but we are looking into it."
So it seems its not BRITTONS fault, its the companies that underwrite the Insurance will not cover jap imports? As you can see they are actively looking into finding companies that WILL take on Jap Imports.
Thats some good news at least ..
