Postcode counts for LOADS! Me and a mate were fuckin' about getting tonnes of quotes on Elephant one day in labs. He lives in Ruislip. Hes 20 3NCB and I'm 19 2NCB. For an Audi S2 Coupe (2.2litre Turbo 4WD) mine was about £1000 and his was £1600! And he is older and more NCB!!

Insurance likes you. Lucky you.

My brothers is 20 in November, and he still can't get insured on his GT for cheaper than £2800.

agreed!! i know a lad i went to skool with, and he lives abit away from me, he has 2 years no claims as is nearly 20, and he can't get a quote on a Saxo VTR and i can with 0ncb. its silly!!

Elephant must not like Huddersfield! The bastards!!! I'm now paying £1k for my GT thank fuck! But yeah, seems like your really unlucky! Tried a quote with your mum as an extra driver yet? Be interesting to see what it is!

Are you putting any form of security down on the cover? e.g. an alarm.

Also, where will the vehicle be kept over night and during the day?

Not sure how much these will affect it though.

Yeah alarm/immobiliser will help. Also if its garaged, but no point in lying about where it will be as they could always check (wouldn't happen unless you made a claim I reckon, but still! lol). Also annual mileage, the value of the car etc. etc.

Car is in a locked garage every night, so I put that down. And yup Cat 1 alarm. During the day the car is at home. Annual mileage I put was 4k!!!!!!

try ecar got myself insured on a subaru t2000 21 with 1 ncd 4 years driving for 1300tpft and that was the cheapest, fairly bad area too

Thanks mate! But even if I had the money I wouldn't pay that much!

Bump for insurance companies. Cheapest is still about four fucking grand

phone flux...also when insurance companies say wats the best quote you have recieved make up a rough price you want to pay...ive done that...works quite well...also TPTT is normally cheaper than just TP somehow...i was paying 1400 ish TPTT @ 17 on my SR.

Also...price can also be affected quite alot on your location/postcode...is huddersfield regarding as a crime/rough area if so that will affect it unfortunately..

Trade insurance is the way foward

Get another mate to go on it with you, pay half and half your sorted :p drive pretty much anything you want
