intercooler from evo? possible?

thinkin of buying someones intercooler from there evo, what do you think?

sizing would probably be very different...would have to get custom piping made up and braces to hold it in place..there would be a bit of custom work fitting it...i would say it would be cheaper purchasing from a trader on here.... that are made for starlets

Its possible.........ive got a intercooler from a land rover on my car atm, fitted nice didnt even have to cut the bumper :cool:

on my last gt it had the intercooler from a galant vr4 it fitted great and it allowed the shortest pipe route ive ever seen. it bascially met right up to the td05 almost.

im sure anything would be possible...just saving you the time,money and hassle to get something already made for your car

i run a Mitsi Galant VR4 intercooler in my ep71.
its quite common practice over here in nz to use these and early model evo intercoolers on starlets as up until recent years nothing was available off the shelf.

they have been well proven to flow up to 180 wheel KW with no issues and have great pipe placement on the end tanks for the piping to suit starlets as well. the vr4 especially.

custom piping and mounting will need to be fabricated

i had a vr4 intercooler on my last starlet aswell worked a treat the piping was so easy to make fit used universal piping and a few select pieces of silicone and was spot on never had a problem with it
