Iphone error 1015

Hey guys. my iphone 3gs is giving error 1015 in itunes. basically i went to wipe everything off it as i sold it and now it wont work. ive tried everything but one thing i cannot do is upload earlier software has anyone any ideas or suggestions.

i clicked restore in itunes so would that mean it put on the latest ios?

restores to the last backup, if you have updated since that's the cause of the problem dude.

yeah i backed it up but never updated it. only thing is i dont know which ios is on it.

Try it on a different computer or laptop with a wired connetion. I bet you it isnt the phone. Had this many times, switched to a better comp with the up to date itunes and boom it updated and wiped it all
