Not exactly. That particular cover is only third party and not fire and theft.
So if I were the 18 yr old with a yaris and driving somebody elses supra it really has no major effect to the insurance company cause they do not have to pay out if the supra is burned / stolen or crashed. They would only have to pay out to a car that I may crash into but not the supra, hence 3rd party only.
yes yes yes..i understand that part, but what I dont understand is how it could potentially be legally possible for a litte spotty, inexperienced as fuck teenager too be driving a seriously fast car, I mean thats just a recipe for disaster (I have seen some young lads driving much much faster cars than mine around Cork). He/she surely wouldent have the skill/experience too handle that power. It really bothers me because he/she would undoubtedly eventually crash, kill someones family resulting in all of our names being dragged through the dirt as similar "boy racers" and of course our premiums going up. I think im going too do some reserach into this and try and get some answers from quinn etc. I honestly cannot believe that there are no restrictions on this. I know they'd only be tp (and hence legal) aiden but thats not much comfort too some family they take out. Honestly im shocked!!! Anyone else thinking the same way??? This surely cannot be right?????
edit: The main reason im saying this is that I know a lad younger than me driving an evo and hes a complete phsycopath on the road and it just bothers me that hes legally allowed a car that powerful at that age because of this stupid fucking loophole..im sorry but im geuninely annoyed about this. I could go get a skyline through my uncle no bother and throw it under my fathers name. BUt im not going too because I know I would probably crash and die!
super edit: Sorry for hijacking Dylan, if you want too start a new thread on this then feel free.
