"The Irish Motor Racing Club take the helm this weekend for the latest event in Mondello Park's car race season, with an eight race event featuring Formula Vee and the new GT Endurance series.

Sunday's event will have a busy timetable despite its lower than normal number of races. With just seven sprint format races, the programme will be expanded by a 45 minute GT endurance event and the opening round of the Mondello Park Time-Attack championship.

The tightest battles of the day are likely to be in the Formula Vee race where already this season there have been five different drivers on the podium over the first two races. Lee Newsome and John Downey have taken a win apeice, and both will be on the grid for this Sunday's championship round three. In GT's a small but quality field is expected with drivers from the Porsche and Supercar championship set to go up against some fast Lotus Elises in the opening event for this new class.

The remainder of Sunday's race programme is made up of double headers for Historic Cars, Global Light sportscars and the opening rounds of the Ginetta Junior championship. In addition there will be three sessions for Time-Attack, the against-the-clock series for modified road cars, with the first two being qualifying sessions and the third being the final where the results will be decided by each drivers fastest lap time.

Sunday's event gets underway with qualifying while the competitive action kicks off with Time-Attack at 10:55. There will be three races before lunch with the remaining action getting underway at 14:00, beginning with the Formula Vee encounter. Admission for Sunday's event is €15.00 for adults with accompanied under sixteen’s free of charge and all admission prices include a complimentary programme.
