it just died

i was driving my starlet , i was driving it pretty hard :drive: then all of a sudden it started making a poping sound then a couple of backfires then just died , it would not start :mad: , it was going really well , i have no idea whats wrong. any ideas please,

Check that your rotor arm hasnt fallen of inside the dizzy cap, also Check the condition of the dizzy cap while it is off.
Check all your plugs incase one of them has broke.
Check all your plug leads for a good connetion, and the king lead, and they are in good health.

sounds like to me youve just melted a piston mate, exactly the same thing happened to me the other day, apart from my car still ran and sounded like a subaru :p

i did came across the same problem mate. it really sounds like subaru! :)

imo it aint a piston bud must be electrical cause it would start or try to start if that was the case lol then it would eat itself but hes sayin died an now nothing i think the plugs or leads are fooked mine started misfirin and cut out took plugs out and seen why lol think it was same ones from the factory they were lovely and black and orange :)
