After the Japfest I've realised that Glanza is not as Rare as I thought before!

Where about was your car Reeco? I don't remember.

well after yesterday ive decided we defo need a stand, i looked at the UKSC stand and you would have a job to tell the difference between the cars, everybody is just doing the same as each other, was realy dissapointed by the starlet scene tbh :/

Im sorry but we had over 60 starlets on our stand and each and every one was different. Every single person made the effort to turn out and we had one of the biggest stands of the whole show. If you were dissapointed by our stand then you must take a lot of pleasing cause to me i think the UKSC stand was one of the best there...

well basically theres no variation, tm developments had a couple of glanzas and gt turbos and they all looked totaly differently which was sweet , but on the UKSC stand there were one or two that stood out, other than that it was just a boring black and white sea of "OMG everythings gotta be JDM or people will criticise" it was one of the few stands that looked like nobody was trying anything new. most of the guys on hTGTT have done something unique and a bit different:)

Bit of a hypocrite considering the colour of your alloys lol

Is this not the stand you were asking to be part off?? looks like yours would be lost in the crowd too.
On another note 60 + well kept EP's is quality and it's about getting them all together and enjoying the day as a club and owners, some people have cash to stay JDM or even build Forged Monsters but at the end of the day we are ALL EP owners that enjoy our cars.
If your that taken aback get a stand at the next show ;)
Oh an the rising sun intercooler gt model is Livesports kitted ;)

you knows it Ed ;)

With over 60 Starlets in the same place some are bound to look similar!!

But IMO lots stood out more than blended in, for example, Socks GT28 Varis kitted V, Shorty's Black cruise kitted V, Daz's livesports kitted GT, my sister's semi LiveSports kitted replica, and her BF's JAM kitted replica with purple and black BBS style wheels not to mention my track slag EP82!

UKSC won best stand at JapFest last year and there was more cars this year!!!

Roll on the rest of the shows, got stands at all the big shows :)

I won't go. The only way I will go is if I will go on the track - for that I need appropriate suspension for my car which I can't afford at the moment. Also I need to be careful cause I might go on the track and become totally addicted to it - then I won't have any money left at all - lol.

For me this Japfest was like attending a BBQ party - be there, smell that but have no opportunity to try it -(((((

yeah i had a look at yours, was impressed :) yours was one of the few different ones along with about 1 other glanza and the Toms kitted GT with the rising sun intercooler. and anyway you dont count cause your with us too ;)

yeah the orange on was of the other few different ones, the yellow one is my cousins and hes on the club jap uk stand and the green one was for some tuning company i think. they were a bit lairy but it was nice to see soemthing different :D

so refreshing to once again see the "them and us" attitude being perpetuated, and this time by someone who's been a memebr for a whole 8 months! some of the rest of us have been trying to do away with this nonsensical attitude for years, so nice to see noobs bringing it back up and flogging a dead horse.

secondly, u have slagged off black GTs as being boring with black wheels, and green EPs as being lairy....ummmm...u have a black gt with green wheels...does that mean its both boring and lairy...or am i putting words in your mouth?!?!

a hell of a lot of effort went into the UKSC stand at Japfest, and Im damn proud of everyone who made the effort to make it what it was. and as has already been stated, not every member of UKSC has the budget to make their cars unique enough for you to not call them boring, but every one of them does what they can to make their car enjoyable to them and thats all that matters. Im sure they're all very sorry their cars dont meet with your approval.

how about you organise a club stand of over 60 starlets at a major Jap car show, and once you have successfully done so, then you will have grounds to slag off other club stands. but until then, keep your opinions about UKSC members' cars being "boring" to yourself.

Phil.

thats my gt, and i think youl find its a full livesports kit, so if you call all kits by the same name then they are all going to be the same and "nothing different" i suppose!

never understood the whole uksc vs tgtt thing! gees were all starlet owners!

Yeah, agree with you! You can be a member on both at the same time, I don't see why not.....

As were talking of flogging dead horses, ill give two penneth.

Agreed that after seeing the mass of Glanzas that was organised for the stand, yes they did look of the same ilk, but what exactly can be oh so different to everyones taste? Do all the Honda guys get pissed at everyone "stancing"? Do all the SX owners get pissed at everone having drift style machines? Which ever way ya look at it, most of the stands were of same ilk in there own club ways, so what? Taste is subject to opinion, and believe or not opinion is subject to taste and not the be all and end all.

And what is this rivalry with the two forums all about? Its just nuts. We all drive EPs in some shape style form or another yet that common denominator seems defunct when it comes to just enjoying our EPs. This is one of many reasons why people have fled the scene over the years. I myself am more a lurker these day becasue of these politics, which is a shame.

Head over to here to see some Japfest pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/v1r11_pwn3r/
