i did't thik you could buy back a complete write off?

glad you survived mate - might take a wee while too recover and forget about it . but yes you can buy it back from the insurance company - even if its a complete write off - you just have to sign a declaration that it will not be going back on the road and will be stripped for spare parts only and then crushed. You have to give them the reg document so that way you can't get it re-registered etc.

good luck whatever way you go.

wow only now reading this thread, so sorry to hear about ur accident, but as said atleast you and ur friends are all alive and well, such a shame about the car cuz i remember looking at your pics a while back and saying how much i liked the colour and set up u had done.

maybe u can look for a 4wd and swap ur parts to that, just a future idea for you.
again glad to hear ur ok and hope u and ur friends fully recover from ur injuries 100%

sorry to hear about this mate, had a similar experience. its always when the projects finished that shit like this happens. i swerved to avoid an idiot pulling out in front of me. ended up snaking down the road. straightened it up on the wrong side of the road about 10 metres in front of an oncoming transit van. i chose to send my car up a 12 inch kerb instead of front ending it though. either way the car was fooked... bent the chassis rail.. only thing that kept me and my pal in the car was the buckets and harnesses we were wearing.

hope ya can source a new motor soon matie, get well soon.
