I remember i went down there about 2years ago now when it used to be absolutely packed out, the strip had car's parked about half way down, both side's! and there was 2 Rx7's that were racing that was just leaving everything even skyline's, and then there was some mk1 red escort drifting the road abouts still see him down there most nights, and the drag strip was packed solid, and also the car's parks were full to the brim with people doing doughnut's and stuff! Such an amazing place, i used to think basildon was good but thurrock just make's basildon look like a little friends get together lol! LAKESIDE FOREVER YO! :rockon:

how do the police see these meets?? i was in waterford here in ireland and seen something similar on the port road but the police split it up and impounded cars:homer::homer:

Police do come sometimes, but not most nights. but they dont always do something though, either they come right down to the starting line and flash lights until we leave or they sit at the top of the strip and just watch. like when the blue GTR was racing the Black Supra the other day just other day end of summer, which had alot of big hype. but the 800bhp GTR creamed the 650bhp Supra.

On a real good night its worth a good travel to.

Luckily im only about 30 miles and thats mostly A roads/motorway. 45 minute drive, and the drive is wicked.
