Lambda sensor wire

Just a quick one which wire (colour) does the lambda sensor connect too, as my car didnt have one when i bought it so i am trying to wire one in??

Also does the lambda screw into the downpipe??

Sorry for dumbass questions, just never worked on a starlet before.

Cheers dude. I dont suppose you know what colour wire it connects to, as ive got a few that are cut coming from the wiring loom in that area?

Its a screened cable so its black on the outside, then it has the metal screen and then the white inside. Dont let the metal screen touch the connection.

I think i have found it. Only problem is it is very short, so the screening isnt going to cover the new lambda wire. Will this be ok or will the lambda pick up too much electrical interferance??

It will be ok, the screen is not connected through to the sensor, its connected to earth at the ECU end.

so i can just solder a wire to connect the lambda and the wire going to the ecu??
