i knew a lad who had one years ago, seemed happy with it!
can't remember how it was on fuel but i seem to remember it was pretty quick for what it was. quite nice cars really, although i'd much rather go the whole hog and get an evo.

I was going to get one but read up on them and decided not to.
At best i think (standard ) is 24MPG i think,there nearly as bad as an evo.
You can't boost them beyond stock pressure without forging them,the internals are shite.
Most you can do is exhaust,decat etc,but you'll need to get a boost controller to keep the boost down incase of boost creep.
And they run out of steam after about 5800rpm


Easier to buy an evo :)

Thanks for the info, got an offer of a very clean standard 98 one to swap for the starlet
