lights problem, please help!!!

[ep82 starlet gt]

got a bit of a problem. i had a quad lamp conversion done n it worked fine. i took the loom out of that ep82 n put it into a diff starlet. took off the quad lamp connectors, wired the lights back to the connectors from a square lamp, doesnt seem to be working now, got a volts meter on it, gettin two positives and a negative, connected them up to the connectors n and gettin 3 positives and no negatives. im confused lol.................and also whilst am here my fuel gauge doesnt seem to be givin any readin, needle just stays at the bottom. there is petrol in it.

dont realy no much bout your light prob but your fuel went to low it could of just go stuck or has it just went dwn the float could of got stuck or the other thing the we wire has came off nothing mager try goin under your car and hitting your petrol thank a whole load of times and take a look at the dash and c if it has un stuck it self
