Log book in Ireland

Hi all,

I think im in a bit of a pickle;
I went through all my documents of my Glanza, but I couldn't find my logbook.

Firstly, I dont even know how it looks like.
All I have is my Motor tax form with the car details on it.
I also dont have the import documents. I never got this from the previous owner.

How can I obtain a new log book? Is that required?
And what about the importing documents, is that important?

I have to change my address for the motor tax as I have just moved, but I need to send my only document proving that the car is mine to Clare just to change an address, what if it gets lost in the post? Then im screwed.
Im just worried because if I have to sell my car that some paperwork is missing

or get one down the local cop shop, you'll need to go there anyways to get them to stamp it.

Thanks! What do I need to do with this? Post it to the Clare Motor tax? Or just take it to the Gardai station?
