loosing boost at higher revs

managed to get my boost gauge fitted (eventually) and had some fun just sussing out what the boost was roughly running at (0.65-0.7bar ish) but when i start to get up through the revs..probably past 5500rpm the boost begins to slowly drop but not past about 0.5bar.

im running a completely stock ct9 setup, original top mount intercooler and everything. i thought it might just be a case of the standard turbo doesnt hold the boost too well at higher revs or is it somethin more sinister?

I've had the intercooler off the car yesterday to check the pipework for loose fittings or leaks and none to be found. there was a bit of oil in the intercooler piping though..any thoughts welcome guys

cheers

yeah thinking about gettin an uprated actuator..i have the boost sensor positioned between the dump valve and the intake..would this make any difference?

how difficult is it to fit the new actuator?

Not hard but a bit fiddley, 2 12mm bolts, 1 circlip and a couple of pipes on the actuator - much easier with the radiator removed.

You will always get some boost drop off as your revs increase but the standard CT9 can hold a lot more than 0.5 Bar.
