lsd gearbox!!

hi there!! iv recently bought a project of a mate...which was a sportif with a glaza engine partially implanted!! after spending my first day on it iv noticed sum complications!! the major one being that it has an lsd gearbox!! the rear engine mount is waay out...and after tampering it seems it needs a complete new mount...iz this true?? also the shafts wer stil in the hubs...and the offside is too long...but because its the lsd i believe itz gona need equal length shafts...can i get away with two inners as it seems to be a gud length??

yeah i beleive the oem starlet lsd boxs need a different rear mount and the oem lsd gearboxes also use more equal lenght drive shafts...

yhh dats a big help cheers!! took me ages before i realised it waz an lsd lol!! wer can i get a mount from?? it doesnt hav 2 just be toyota does it?? yhh im hoping i can get away with two inner shafts...but the one iv got iz only a sportif shaft...so nt confident they will cope!!

maybe stick a wanted thread up for one? I would of thought it would be better to use a toyota one from an oem lsd glanza or something?

those lsd mounts are rare as fook iirrc Idrees got a new one from toyota not so long ago

i will have a LSD rear gbox mount filled with metal to metal for sale so will be a bit more solid then the OEM if you want it PM me an offer

Even though LSD shafts look to be the same length, I'm sure you'll find they are actually different lengths, so I would say no!

hey i have just done away with my standard lsd box for a standard 1, i have the osf (drivers side driveshaft) and the rear gearbox mount if your interested pm me..

yhh after doin a lil research....i see i need the correct driveshafts!! as...like you guys said...they are still different lengths!! iv only had the car for 2 days...and jus finding out wat needs doing!! unfortunately im going to austrailia next week...so no work can be carried out!! but wen im back i will look into buying the parts....so cheers guys great help!!!
