map sensor on fuel consumption

hi guys, i would just like to confirm if the map sensor has an effect on the fuel consumption of our 4EFTE?

i just had my engine swap this april and i have observed that my average fuel consumption is 8km/l whereas the average consumption of other 4EFTEs in our country is 10-12km/l.

i've read in other forums that map sensors of 4EFTE and 4AGZE are interchangeable but may compromise fuel efficiency. when i checked my map sensor, it was for 3SGTE based on the part number.

if there really is an effect, i would replace the current map sensor with the stock map sensor for 4EFTE.

any inputs regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!:)

The map sensors tells the ECU what load is on the engine, therefore how much fuel to put in. (how long to open injectors for) it also tells it how much timing advance etc to use.

It is the most criticial sensors on the engine and will have the biggest bearing on how much fuel is used. Not only will it effect economy but it could cause the engine to run dangerously lean/incorrect timing etc. I'd get it checked out ASAP.
