any chance off a rough price mate? an how long before youl be getting some in?

cheers

The RRP of the Zeta-R is £649.00
When I do the group buy, it will be around the mid £500's and I will make sure everyone will be happy with the price. :)
The New design will be available around Early - Middle Jan as it is in production at the moment.

Essentially Bc and MeisterR are the same coilover they are made in the same factory, but the MeisterR's do have better spring ratings for the uk roads.

Actually, BC and MeisterR isn't the same coilovers.
Yes, they are both made in Asia, but MeisterR is made quite a bit further north. :)

Production and construction of the coilovers are important, but I personally think the most important factor is how the coilovers are specified.

Springs Rate, Springs Length, Damper Valving, Damper Stroke Travel, Damper Case Length, Lower Bracket Length, and the choice of top mount and material all have an effect on how the overall suspension react on a chassis.

Paying attention to those details and getting those right for its purpose and condition is what separate the good suspension from the run of the mill coilovers.

personally i think all the people that complain about it being too bumpy on backroads are a bunch of girls. u want a great handling car (lol) but u still want comfort on bumpy country lanes, im sorry what planet are you oni have bc's and its bumpy as fuck where i leave but get yourself in a harness and you move with the car/seat instead of on top of it. personally i like a bumpy ride i feel ill in standard cars

Just because you like a harsh ride does not make others girls. :homer:

you may prefer a bumpy ride than that of a stock setup but the point is there are other rides in between not just harsh or stock.

MOST coilovers are too bumpy for backroads.
the actual harshness of them wasnt the problem for me, it was the fact they were dangerous. stock suspension could out do some coilovers on backroads because they actually absorb the bumps as aposed to just skipping over them and making the car very unstable and lary to drive.

you can have the suspension too stiff and you will have a shit ride coupled with shit handling on the road, so what would be the point?

when D2s came out everyone raved on about them being great. i had a set of the old type and they were crap on backroads, you just couldnt drive the car fast as it wasnt safe. car felt tight and the bumpiness wasnt too much of a problem most of the time!

with the meisters i think time will tell. im seriously tempted by the group buy as the suspension on my runabout is getting a bit worn out now ;)

Bumpy suspension doesn't make the car handle better, all it does really is make the car lose traction.
As I had said, alot of people think coilovers had to be harsh, and that is not the case.
Most coilovers are designed for American/Japanese roads or track use, therefore they need to be hard in order to take advantage of the flat surface and normally sticky tyres.

The Rebound valving of the damper is what help control the body roll of the car. It control how fast it let the spring recoil after compression.

Having a bumpy ride most time is too much rebound force. You feel your car skipping is because the rebound force is keeping the wheel in the air after you hit a bump by not letting the spring recoil.

This lead to lost of traction and scatchy handling.
It may be exciting, but it's not fun because you don't have the confidence in the car's ability to grip the road.

Ther are other factors, but that is the quick explaination in a nut shell.

The word in suspension design is "compliant", as that mean the car will do what you want it to and therefore provide the most confidence to enjoy driving the car. Enjoyment is the end result I hope to provide with the MeisterR coilovers
