Microtech Ecu Pump2 settings

Anyone here with a microtech keen to compare settings ? Just that I have a bad lean spot just as the car comes on boost. Some people are saying it is due to my intake manifold setup ? Am thinking of changing the settings to read off TPS for the load maps instead of Map. Anyone done this ?

I run a Microtech but not on the 4EFTE, go here for some info http://www.microtechefi.com/forum/.

I'm pretty sure it should read of TPS AND MAP.

What settings do you want? I'm sure mine will be reasonably similar for most option settings.

"The pump settings are what you need to mess with. There are basically 3 settings for each and one setting that determins which is used.

The value called Pump2Start should be an rpm value around 2500 and is what chooses the pump to be run.

Then each pump basically has 5 values : TimingAdvance, Amount, Trigger, Stop, and Pulses/Time

Stop should be set to either 15 or 17 for Pump1 and set to 0 or 2 psi for Pump 2. This is the value that when you are pulling less vacuum than (aka more boost, or lower "hg number) that the pump becomes disabled at.

Timing advance for each should be 3 for pump 1 and 2 degrees for pump 2
Trigger for pump 1 should be 5 and trigger for pump 2 should be 7, this value is how much pressure change is required to meet a "pump" condition.

Pulses or Time should be set for about 4 for pump1 and 7 for pump 2 and that is the number of injector cycles it will spray the extra fuel for.

Amount is the amount of fuel that will be added for the pump. Pump 1 should be less than 5% and pump 2 should be between 20 and 38 %."

Heya Mate
I am 3psracing on there (I just asked you a question the other day) hehe small world.

Well my problem is that i am coming on boost and the motor is running seriously lean (like 20:1), only happens below 2psi most of the time.

Initially thought it was not receiving a decent enough signal from manifold. And was not changing fast enough so ran two lines, still the same, then thought it must be the pump2 settings, messed around with that but just yesterday realised that these settings are for like a split second really, this problem lasts longer and is probably not that so messed around with the 10Hg, 5Hg 0Hg and 2ps settings but it runs too rich now with the same lean spot. hehe

HAve been mapping it to map all this time (load) so thinking of changing that to tps instead, or can you do both ?

Heya Mate
yeah been a while, i didnt disapear, the site changed ... haha.
I gave up on the gt, now started with my glanza.
The wideband most of the time shows a spike to 20:1 but sometimes its ridiculous like 50:1 (only a split sec) and tuner said no det but its annoying.

Yeah will try see if i can get ahold of Dale.
cheers
