Mileage problem

Hi all,

Recently iv noticed that my mileage clock has stopped ticking over. At the moment it reads 71442. Just after i had the car i had it converted from kph to mph.
When i looked at the mileage it looks like somebody has used pliers to move the numbers and has botched them a bit, im wondering if they have damaged it. Can it be repaired or do i have to take it to a garage.

its possibly been knackered by them and you may need to change the speedo to get a working odometer.
take it back to them and see what they say
