miss fire but really weird why it does it lol

Hi all hope your all well.

Right to jump in the deep end my car has miss fired twice while driving this month and this is what happens. Im driving and hit a pot hole then it miss fires and cuts boost off, so have to pull over for 30. Seconds then its fine, any ideas lol told you its a funny one.

Have you checked to make sure all the leeds are sat/cliped on the dizzy propley?

well it did it again this morning for no reason had to turn the car off and back on again for it to work, where is the earth wire so i can check that? Iv checked the HT leads and dizzy cap cant see much wrong so what is best to do next?

grounding

also check your grounding/earthing mate.. people always focus (a little too much) on the +ve side of the circuit but you must remember you need the ground too to complete the circuit. all the best..

earth points

the stock ep91 setup has 2 main earth points (that i know of),
- one from the battery to the transmission surface, &
- one on the belt-side secured to the mount on that side.

you can take them off and clean them up with some emery paper, clean up their mating surfaces with a wire brush, ensure that the grounding wires themselves are in good health and you should be in a better place. if you are courageous enough, you can replace both with thicker gauge wire.. heck, i even added more grounding points on mine, & yes, it does make a huge difference..
