Missfire at 6700rpm

checked the map sensors? .. could be the stock one if EMU uses that or your Greddy 3Bar sensor.

92ron is shite ;) buy 20l of race fuel and mix it ..

From tacho, avcr and emu log.

from what ive seen the emu tends to read about 300/400rpm below the stock tach---so you could weel be 7200rpm (limiter on tach) but emu only seeing 6800/6900rpm (with the car hitting the stock limiter still)

but seems you dont have that problem if all your equipment is reading the same

Update:

Changed injectors to rx7 550cc and now still at 1.0bar its cutting earlier 6300rpm compared to 6700rpm with stock injectors.

Did another test, changed wastegate spring to 0.6bar and it cuts at 6900rpm. Increased the boost to 0.9 bar via avcr and it cuts at 6600rpm.

Cannot think of anything else but that this cut is related to boost somehow. When it occurs its very similar to the sound of rev cut and the car becomes very rich at that particular instant(11.6 to 10.1/10.2 approx). Car is very smooth until it gets to that point.

Tried it before when i was using ngk bkr7eix, made no difference. Will need to try again with the set of bkr8eix i have now.

It should be gapped to 0.7mm right?

Is there a dyno with a good tuner in Mauritius? You are frustrating yourself bud :(
0.7 is good. You could have a spark problem and afr will obviously spike as fuel is not burning when problem happens.

heat range 8 is way to cold for ur specs. 7 should be fine unless your running crazy boost levels. It seems your having problems with injectors other than stock. So there is your problem. It could well be your engine is being flooded while using bigger injectors. Try messing around with the clamp voltage and adjust the fuel for @ 11.5-11.8 which is a nice and safe a/f ratio.

In my opinion if engine cuts above 6800 its totally ok and acceptable. i would try to keep it a bit on the safe on the rev limit side remembering its still stock.
Get it to someone who knows the about and how to work with the EMU to sort out your problem otherwise you would just keep trying to solve something until something really goes wrong.

2x Det but looks like HKS's target is going to involve some big injectors.

The stubble point varies quite regularly I wonder if fuel pump /voltage stumble is occuring with bigger injectors or does the emu have that covered ?

Yeah you're right, believe i'm gonna have to take it to someone who knows what he is doing. I've had enough...

There is a dyno but i'm not too sure about the tuner!!

Fuel pump has been changed to a walbro but the voltage needs to be checked - good point thanks

But if the cut he is getting is detonation or something bad then he can blow up his engine :(

How would you know for sure that its detonation?

You will need to put a camera down the spark plug hole. If you are not familiar with the sounds it is the way to go.
And in a boosted engine it can happen so fast :(
