was in ipswich earlier in my girlfriends ep91, but that was it.

lol its j plate same colour as ares and has the enkie wheels on that you have or had in silver lol seen it twice parked on duke street

looks fairly standard and clean cant believe there is now 4 in suffolk its been parked near the restaurant on the corner

its depressing. as long as its not chav tastic i dont mind too much. seems like half the uk's mk1 are in suffolk we will have to have a mini mk1 meet

i took it to the japshow a few weeks ago and it bloody rained. hasnt had any rain on it for about 3-4 years

i might bring it out at the weekend if the weather is ok. im often out and about in my runabout mk1 though

hehe nice to keep like that fair play i rekon your runabout is better than mine have you any rust under your sill covers?

havnt had them off to check the be honest! its pretty clean so im sure its fine. its just the rust on the bootlid i need to sort and the lacquer peel and dodgy paintwork, dodgy gearbox and the engine would do with a refresh. also interior is a little tired, but i have seen worse

hehe if there anything like mine be warned iv had mine redone i had no other rust just under them!

if i dont remove then then i will never know car hasnt been in the country all that long really so chances are its not too bad. will do the welding myself anyway if it needed doing.

just checked. good one has been in the country since 2003 and the runabout since 2004.

OHH posibly a worm in there lol na i never seen any threads for rusty sills unless people just never take the covers off?

not alot of people do tbh. have seen some rusty sills before on here on various starlets. not that often though

m8 if you go on cars for sale the click on the second page there is a mk1 shell for sale you might have seen it. If you have a look through the pictures you will see one of the inner sills though the rear wheel arch you can see they are rotten as a pear, probably ever worst at the front.
