Monster Motorsport - Air filter Re location kit

lanxter - as with any filter mounted in this format you are likely to experience some boost creep unless you have ported your standard wastegate or are running a hybrid. I have Toby's hybrid which is awesome.

bazza - the kit is easiest to set up using a filter with a 51mm inlet. HKS filter use something like a 75mm inlet so keiz has said you would need to find a way of reducing it to fit the pipework.

keirz - nice one mate.will have to catch up soon.

could be interested in this setup like.

Oh forgot to ask does the air filter or piping foul anything at all under load?

Mine doesnt. The cone on mine rests on my FMIC. I found Tobys kit to be a bit too close to the rad. I cut a small amount from the silicone and alloy bend on mine to position it the best I could with my front end. Its easy done so there will be a configuration for all cars with some minor adjustments.

For everyone who may be interested I have 2 full kits on the shelf at the moment.

Yeah thanks for being the test pilot for our first EP91 one Mike sorry about that! Was the first one for EP91 we made way back when we forged your engnie. Ours have been re-designed for ages with a longer middle section for EP91 so perfect fittment for the thicker rad core get with it! :

Thats ok. Yours now in that pic is what I had to do to modify mine to fit but no worries. Both are simple but effective set ups! I just prefer the Green filter :p

My car is pretty much finished as just fitted my D2's. I think its in need of a good fast road and geometry set up thats all. I also have a new gizmo in the pipeline which may be of interest!

Will take one when I get back onshore.

Would it be ok to hold it for 2 weeks until I actually buy my gt? :)

If you are going to any events this year let me know. Would be good to catch up.

just a question...but what happens if its rains? is it ok to still drive normally? or do you have to stop to cover up the air filter?
Cause in theroy the filter should stop the water, but is it ok?

A bit of water wont do any damage to the turbo if it even gets through, its not like an N/A car where if the filter picks up water the engine tries to compress it :D

Well mine due to the FMIC does stick out quite far. Prior to the FMIC it was not as exposed. In normal rain the filter stays mainly dry - enough not to cause any issues however as its so exposed on mine due to FMIC and lack of front grill I avoid driving in heavy rain or spray conditions. You may want to position yours lower down or closer to the rad where possible. There is a fair bit of movement and space to play with when the air con has gone and you dont have a dirty great FMIC!!

I am however testing a product by K&N which is like a breathable jacket for cone filters which I will add to the page shortly.

No probs, slightly off topic, but did you have to remove your grill for that FMIC to fit mike?

No mate, the FMIC fitted with barely any cutting to anything - I honestly cant remember why I took it off but decided it looked meaner off so left it off!

Normally that would be cool mate but really low on stock at the minute. Only two kits available before next shipment from Green. Give me a shout in a week if you can.

ok mate, can buy now tbh.
