MOT Emissions testing

Hi

I have a Starlet GT 1994 i think and have a decat on i have been told that for the MOT i will not need a cat because of it being an import with no english equilvalent?

Is this true?

Dont think 1994 needs one mate

becoz its a inport u shouldnt need 1 mate

Only needs a basic emissions test but as of January 2012 there will be a cat presence check introduced to the MOT test.

Not sure, think the tester will have to visually check for a cat. This is what I was told by my local Mcconechy's MOT station anyway.
