'Muhammad' ranked most popular boys' name in England

Im not getting that article... it says the top boys name is Muhammad, then it lists the top ten names and Muhammad is not in there?

Another article from the telegraph saying the same thing http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/d...religious-not-because-there-are-more-muslims/, would like to a verified source for this. If it is true I cant say I am surprised. I dont have a problem with what it represents but I do have a problem with the teachings of Islam, please remember Islam is a religion and not a race so you cannot be classed a racist for not agreeing with the teachings of a religion.

With very few if any followers of the religion standing up and speaking out against the dirty deeds being actioned in the name of Islam I can only draw the conclusion that they either support these deeds or are not so negatively opposed to them they feel the need to come out and condemn them. The extreme views thought in UK mosques is on public record, it has been recorded for all to see.

Whilst typically a name is just a name, in this instance it is more than that and shows us that the UK is heading toward becoming a predominantly muslim country. When the majority become of a certain mindset then they vote in candidates of similar beliefs and suddenly women are being stoned to death and people who steal a loaf of bread to feed their family are having limbs hacked off.

If Islam becomes the dominant faith in the UK it will be yet another place I will add to the countries I will not visit list. All predominantly muslim countries are all ready on that list. I would be a hypocrite if I visited any of them. I say to people from the middle East - if you dont like our western values dont come to our countries. By the same token I dont like their values so I dont go to their countries. My parents and brother both have places in Turkey that I have never visited. Whilst I know Turkey is a secular country, it is still predominantly muslim and for that reason I wont go there.

I can't find the origins for the statistics in the reports but this reference from 2007 shows the trend has been on the up for the last few year.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article1890354.ece
note: "Overall, Muslims account for 3 per cent of the British population, about 1.5 million people. However, the Muslim birthrate is roughly three times higher than the nonMuslim one. "

Other references show inroads in to politics..
http://www.muslimnews.co.uk/paper/index.php?article=4633

and on a wider scale through the EU...

Doesnt surprise me at all to be honest.

Just think how many foreigners are coming to the UK every day/year.

Gone are the days, of Tom, Dick and Harry.

Dylan, you'll like this one. A girl who I work with has started seeing a guy, and has now converted to Islam from his say so. Mental.

Sam, a girl that used to work with me for years met a chap and converted to islam. I have never seen a more dramatic change in a person in my life. She went from a fun loving outgoing girl to one who would not get in the lift with men or eat with any of us at lunch. It was pretty astounding to say the least.

I personally think integration is the key. When people come to a new country they should be there for the right reasons. They should be there to soak up the culture and mix with the locals, if you are not willing to integrate then you should not go to another country.

I will give you an example of what I mean. When I came to the USA I could have gone to Irish bars and hung out with Irish people and we could all move in to the same area and not mix with the locals.... hmmm... why not just stay in Ireland? Over the past 3 weekends I have went to the mountains and hired a boat with some American friends for a couple of days, I went to dinner with a Korean dude and his friends for his birthday and last weekend I had dinner with my Danish neighbours and their friends. If you dont want to fit in with the locals then stay at home.

There was another girl who did the same thing, although I always knew her to be Muslim. She split up with her boyfriend and came into work the nextday without the head scarf etc and BOOM... fit. Was quite a shock. Says she needs a place in private to do her prayers where men can't see her; toilets it is then.

a ginger drunk knacker... if thats how you see Irish people then go and fuck off back to wherever you crawled out from. A prime reason why we should be more selective about the level of scum we let in to our country. If you socialise with your nationals so much then feel free to go back home and socialise with them there.

As for religion, I have my own negative views on it, I am not a Catholic I am an Atheist. And if you judge a religion as being "way better" because leaders do not rape children then you obviously have thought about this matter in great detail.

its people like you that fuel my negative views on muslims, go back to where you came from if you dont want to mix with "some ginger drunk knacker", and seeing as you stereotype the irish im pretty sure it gives me the right to stereotype you as a rag head terrorist!

Easy up there :haha:. Im not ginger, a drunk or a knacker ;) and as for the raping of children, I very much doubt there are more catholics that are pedophiles than any other religion

He's taking the piss lads. No need to take it so seriously. I know for a fact that he has a few of good friends on here that he meets regularly and they're Irish

no need to take it so seriously? He neglected to tell us what religious persuasion he is and where he originated from, perhaps he is ashamed to say. It was obviously a shithole or he wouldnt have left to find somewhere better.
