My 3rd boost light isnt coming on?

Sorry mate don't know much about the cars still learning.I just thought it could be that but obviously I was wrong.on both of my glanzas Iv had the 3rd boost light comes on at about 3k revs and the boost gauge reads about 0.5 bar.it could be some electrical sensor somewhere again I'm not 100% certain lol :)

@ ASHep82: it's alright. your thoughts are very much appreciated. that's how ideas on what to check are born anyway :) what i need to do first is to get me a proper boost gauge as i don't have one atm. that may point to some hints that i've been missing..

Yeah boost gauges are very important for our cars.what mods are you running and have you compared your Glanza to anyone elses to see if yours has similar power?

well, car is pretty stock atm except for:
- blitz air element
- straight-thru kakimoto (jap) exhaust; cat retained on stock mani
- stock dump valve reworked to vent to the atmosphere
- 205/50 on 15" alloys
- lowered rear end + adjustable panhard
- rear seats removed & batt relocated to the trunk

well, there's more work in progress but that's the current spec. i'm running the stock tmic; no fueling or ecu mods; stock clutch; stock gearbox, pretty much stock everything-else.. :)

You deffo need a boost gauge and make sure your running around 0.6 bar boost if it is then you can look into somthin else.your would be propably pushing quite a bit over stock power.how is the power when you drive?does it feel pretty quick?

power's awesome! feels VERY quick and the handling is great after i tweaked the front and rear suspension. it came with an arb at the front when i got it. i just added a rear strut brace and now working on a rear arb.
alrite then. will get me the boost gauge then run a few more tests to see if i can figure out the problem. the boost light used to work but nothing changed and all of a sudden it stopped so i'm just a little worried that something may be going wrong and i may not know.. :|

3rd Boost Light, FIXED!

finally got the 3rd boost light working again! :D
it was something i didn't think of at all until the last minute - the stock actuator! i figured that over time, the spring gets weak and does not hold boost during high engine revs. since i can't get a replacement actuator atm, i used the old trick of shortening the actuator arm about 4mm to increase tension on the wastegate. it boosts fine now so will just work on a replacement actuator as soon as possible.
you could also use washers in between the actuator mount on the turbo and keep altering the thickness of the washers until you achieve the boost pressure you are after as this has the same effect as shortening the arm.

hope that helps the rest of you who may be having issues with boost loss, assuming you've checked all else and don't have any cracks/leaks anywhere..
