cheers fro, plenty time spent on it this mornin, good results :)

thanks flyingorphan - i paid £2100 with no tax and 4months mot,tho it had done 18miles since previous mot.
i think you should atleast test drive one, there underated cars imo.
ive had 3 ep82's and a glanza amongst other nice cars and i liked the fact it was n/a with power. suits me just now anyway, coilovers gettin ordered next saturday :D

the notorious cat. used to have the forged gt with sequential.

what sort of power is your EK9?

Oh yeah I know who.

The EK is running around 200BHP, weighs about 950-970KG. A hell of alot has been stripped on it now.

I use it for circuit racing anyway not drag racing thats why im not inclined to put more power etc. More then enough power for short tracks. Not much gets past apart from the usual 350BHP+ evos etc. Stock EVOs cannot go anywhere. Does the job.

PS.... Im on OEM suspension :) And it was done at shakespear. Too much spin off the line though. Could see better with more runs.

Anyway, anough about my stupid civic lol, Back to the clio :drive:

Thats a good price. How many miles is that on bud?

I did have a test drive in one few months back, did feel fast. But was only up the Duel carriageway on island, in the wet so didnt boot it. Felt about as fast as my 106 gti at the time.

Alot of peps have bad experiences with pulsars. What was up with yours? must admit, they are getting rarer and few dogs keep popping their heads up.

it has just under 86k miles, and its a 2000 plate.

personally ill never buy a pulsar again, like a guy said on the gtir forum,..'one minute they can be fine, then the next they will go wrong in a spectacular fashion'.

the 172 cams come in at 3.5k then 5k and it just pulls all the way to the shift light, but mine is meant to be mapped.

bet you a tena its long gone before xmas bud :p the novalty of a newer/comfier car will eventually wear off, and you will soon find yourself browsing pistonheads at various jap motors ;)

ive seen your type r dan, an me an me mate in the green mk1 was shocked on how quick it is. sounding really good aswell, did you have it on TB when you used too go up purley?

my mates got a 172, an its quite nippy an a really good handling car. i was told that the only thing diffrent between the 172 an the 182 is the exhaust, is that right?

i like the colour mate, nice an bright

dont think hes breaking the law so i dont see why not, sound nice there one up in the crawley area in sussex thats been remapped an all that ive been told its about 240bhp but i haven seen proof.

Thats what i thought, looks like a private road anyhow.

Does anyone have any idea what it costs to TB a Clio with management etc?

pretty dear mate, i am looking at getting one as they are so cheap and fun, search for k-tec and you will find everything there!

its around 3k i think :s

As weakboy said it's around 2.5-3 large to get some itb's on the clio. Although an alternative is the jms mani, you might want to keep tabs on that as it looks promising and meant to be alot cheaper, and since you're down south everything is alot more local to you than me!

Thanks alot Cat, ill have a look and see what comes apart of the kit but you must be loving the TB's. Had a look to see a price of what they sell around with ITB's already on them but cant find any.

£3k isnt that bad in honesty. Most TB's kits cost over £2k with management anyway, ill have a look at K-Tec :). The sound of TB's opening up is amazing and on a Clio Cup with the handling ... good match :)

im struggleing to find some cheap coilovers or even just springs lower than 30mm..not the most helpful forum ever, guess i was just spoilt with this one for so long.

i want to get it low asap, but cant find anything at a decent price.

can get coilovers for the phase 2 new for 350,but they dont fit the ph1 like mine..sucks!

whats the difference? maybe whatever it is you can change so phase 2 suspension will fit.. ? cant be alot, same chassis etc

Cliosport aint the greatest forum from what I've seen of it so far tbh.

Tried ktec although unsure if they have stock at the moment? If you could get your hands on raceland ones they are cheap but don't think they are made anymore.

yeah, ktecs own kit is 350 dude, pretty sure phase 1 and two is the same, its the "cup" model that is different.
