My new Tattoo, a tribute to Type O Negative (RIP Pete Steele)

Well lads,

Finally the time arrived to get what i have been dreaming for, for a very long time. Its my new tattoo.. Im very very happy with it, even though its not ready yet.. (5 hours have gone bye so far)..

More than 75% is ready, all that is left is colour, and some more detail to be added.

This is my dedication to the late Pete Steele, frontman of Type O Negative, who passed away at the age of 49 last April. Type o Negative are one of the first bands i ever listened to, and they also happen to be my all time favorite band. So with the right time, the right artist & the right piece.. my project has begun

I have wanted to do this tattoo for over 9 years, but never found the right time, or the right artist who could create exatly what i wanted.. finally i have

I got a new piece done on my leg recently. Goes from top of my outside thigh down to the inside of my leg past the knee. Its a cherry blossom tree silhouette all done in black. Same guy who did the snake I had recently done when I went to Malta did it for me. Sketched it on freehand as I explained what I wanted. Inside of the knee is a killer!!

im very happy with how mine turned out, because i wasnt going to settle for just anything, i think he really captured everything i wanted & displayed it beautifully hehe... cant wait to get it all finished!! 2 weeks to go :rockon:

lol... no matter how much i eat (and trust me i eat like a fuckin pig) i cant put on any weight, i always remain floating between 64 & 68kgs lol..

thanks phil, it really means alot to me having it done, i remember back in 93 when i first heard bloody kisses, man that album changed my world (music taste wise lol) then came october rust, followed by all the other uncompareable albums.

I had always wanted the O negative on my arm, but after a bit of thought and persuasion from the gf & my tattooist i dashed out loads of ideas, and pics from type o negative & well this is the end result. Its almost healed completely now, cant wait to get the rest done.. hehe probably next week !!!
