Does anyone know of anyone/ Garages that DO ACTUALLY know what they're on about with these cars near me? most people on this site seem to be in scotland lol

If im honest, its always an uphill battle when someone else has stripped the engine bay and engine apart when you have the task of putting everything back together without intially seeing how it all came off.

I've had quite a good day at it today and took loads of photos but I won't bore you with them all. I also spoke to the lad I got it off and he reassured me that there's nothing to worry about with the engine, I'll trust him coz thats the kinda guy I am .. besides he has no reason to lie.
So basically today ive more or been familiarising myself with all the bits and fitting what I can cleaning and spraying bits n just tightening bolts n stuff but mostly cleaning.
There's still loads of bits I dont know what they are and also think there are sone parts that dont even belong to this car.

Rage, have you got a link for that manual please coz I can't find a thing.

A couple of things I cant get my head around are probably the most basic so without sounding like a div.. Where on earth does the starter motor go? How and which way does the alternator fit? And the gearbox is a bit of a brain baffler as someone was banging on about the release bearing and i just can't suss it. Anyway here's a few pics so far. Any input welcome

What are these, Is one the said release bearing? and The other looks like some kind of stabiliser to a mounting or something

It's amazing how things start to fall into place when you get going, It's starting to take shape. Although it might not look like it it certainly feels like it and I can see where things go/ came from now its sort of in the bay.

I need a few little bits like engine mounts and things like that but I can't say i didn't expect it.

The box is ready to drop in tomorrow. I cant find the bolts anywhere to fix it to the engine so I've got to match the thread pattern up, find the length out and get some but should'nt be a major issue.

Identify These Please

I feel like I'm getting somewhere now apart from a little accident which snapped the clutch fork.

I've been looking at the Diagrams in the Bible for the vacuum hoses and fueling system but theres some bits that i cant see in any of the diagrams and I'm nit quite sure whats what and goes where. The electrical connectors were all self explanatory so they were quite easy.

I've taken a few pics of a few connectors that I'm unsure of. So can anyone help me with them? Please explain in detail. Also are there any pages what explain the fuelling system with images.. I cant find a thing
