Right my car is starting to really piss me off.Firstly got my engine from daz with the renault 5 gt turbo with the starlet lump.Anyway got the engine in set everything up got it motd etc etc.But the engine management light keeps coming on so done the whole diagnostic test thing and it came up that the coolent temp sensor fault (which i found out was a broke wire on the plug that connects to the sensor its self so got a new one) And also the knock sensor which i wired up with the blue wire and the one thats underneath the inlet manifold.so disconnected the battery for a day to reset the ecu put the batter back on turn the engine on which is another problem i keep needing to prime the engine to get it to start it has a brand new fuel filter on it which i thought could be causing the problem but obv not.And also when i rev the engine slightly it sort of judders or misfires untill it gets passed 2k revs then its fine.Would the timing have anything to do with this and would the eml come on if the timing was out?.i am wanting the car ready for sunday as i am heading up to knockhill but it aint looking promising
