hi, ive got an ep82 gtt, the problem is when i try setting off in 1st gear, i need about 3000rpm to set off just so that the engine doesnt die on me, if i try setting off normally then the engine just doesnt have any pull to it and takes ages to get going and doesnt seem as alively as it used to. ive had this problem before on a different car and it turned out to be the timing that had slipped and caused it to be retarded. in my starlet it feels exactly the same and it doesnt even pull up my street in 2nd gear, i have to drop it down in to first. even just stood still and just rev the car it doesnt seem as lively and as revvy as it used to be. im sure its only just been like this since ive had the engine out to rebuild it and changed the cambelt on it. could anyone post a picture of the timing marks on a 4e-fte so that i can remove my timing belt covers and check to see if the cams and crank are on the right marks. thanks alot.
