need some help asap please

lads cant seem to find out if this turbo is a ball bearing or journal one any ideas repped for help cheers

its a t28 so not to sure some are ballbearing some are not

The S15 T28 turbo is a ball-bearing turbo and how you know the difference between it and a journal bearing T28 turbo is that you will find a divider wall between the exhaust housing and the wastegate flap

deffo journal mate,i seem to remember that the gtir t28 also has the bigger "64" rear housing

not sure about the BB ones, also arnt all garret turbo's marked as GT if there a ballbearing turbo, or am im talking out my arse chaps?

Nope, its the R that denotes ball bearing etc I.e GT25R etc etc

i had a s13. was looking at gettin a T28 for it. when buyin it they give u the option for either housing so it could be a journal

u tried lookin on a gtir forum?

are they good for power ive heard they hold good up to 320bhp

mine was at 1.2 wen bein mapped and there was loads left , yea in around 300 to 320
