Need to change my TEMS!

Hi all, Bought this mad starlet about 3 weeks ago, was mad cheap and a good deal. It's an import, 1992 ep82. woop woop. I'm from Australia, I had to sell my kangaroo because he wasn't dealing with my trips to sydney for work.
Anyway, this ep82 is my new daily and it drives horrible. Motor is good, makes mad choo choo noises but the suspension is just absolutely derped. It has TEMS, it was kinda a cool thing to have then I drove it and the shocks have basically collapsed.
My question is, what exactly do I need to do to put coils in? I have done suspension before, but is it all just the same thing? Pull out the shocks, all the wires and just get rid of the whole system then install coils as normal?
Just thought I'd ask some people who have probably done it before, before I start pulling out this retro little jap tems thing.

yes mate you can just unplug the electronics off it then take the complete shock out and fit normal coils in

there just adjustable shock that get adjusted ontop by electric motor

there great when new ( tems )
