hey wes. glad to know youre looknig after her.
the reason it has shocks and springs is because coilovers are not the know-all and end-all of handling. ive been through MANY suspension setups on this car, ive had teins, and ive had D2s. ive tried different strut bar setups aswell. they way it is now, i think, is the best it can be for a road car.
the only valid difference between coilovers and shocks/springs are the height adjustability. you can get rebound/bump rates in whatever you like on shocks aswell. same for springs. can still have stiff springs on shocks you know
saying that it wont handle well without coilovers is just showing a lack of knowledge. this car handles very very well. and on bumpy roads, out handles a coilover'd starlet any day of the week.
and for those of you that are arguing with the power output at 1.2bar.
proper power curve, none of this peaking at 300, then dropping to 200 lark alot of starlets are putting out.
and those of you saying 1.2bar isnt alot for a td06, are speaking out of your arse ^^
none of you have ever experienced it, so how can you comment on it?
keep hush ye ^;
i'm not sure on ricks reasons for not getting the max out of this setup, but i am sure they are very valid.
the reason i got rid was to pay for my S15 mate, couldnt have 2 cars and the glanza had to go.
