yeah abbott was round yesterday and went out in this beast, sounds loads more better now, none of this loud banging and poping flames everytime he lets off lark, all he needs now is a diff to stop the bloddy thing spinning up and to stop it torque steering ALL overthe road:p

ed think it would be better for you to ring abbott up and talk to him

Any number of external factors could have changed to cause it to read rich eg more boost than it was set up for, even the summer weather. I did say it would need looking at once it got warmer (Its impossible to check all correction factors on one mapping session). Other tuners should know this and be more professional and not be so quick to comment on others work when they dont know the conditions under which the car was set up and tested. Most assume they know best when frankly most dont know beyond the user interface on their laptop, let alone at component level how the e-manage works.

There is always going to be room for critism its a fact of life, but to state I had got it completely wrong is pure and utter nonsense. Its a shame in this instance that you have gone to another tuner, the car had plenty of potential left and I was looking forward to seeing more.

edd im not holding anythink against you or your mapping because ive been in several cars and seen cars you have mapped and they have been good. Ive just said what ive been told. The fuel smell was a joke tho it stunk and my machanic was a bit bothered that it could be bore washing which we all know is not good. so i sorta paniced and tried you but got no reply from you and needed it looking at asap so didnt cause damage. My mates said try and get a appointment where i went so i did and got got things sorted. Im sure if we had spoke we would of got it sorted. Any way mate i hope theres not going to be any hard feeling with this.

No problem Abbott. E-manage have a mind of their own somtimes. I definately wont hold it against you and understand that if your not quite sure whats going on it can be worrying etc

nice result, what boost are you running? the torque seems as though it could be a little higher but im not familiar with that turbo and depending on boost preussre

if it hadnt done it from the start then its a bit hard to blame the tuner, its obviously just the equipment going crazy?

ive used Ed before and i was very pleased with my results, guess every1 has there different opinions etc! bit unfair to say that publicly tho as a tuners reputation is very important!

thanks Dan running 1.5 bar now, yes the torque is low it was on my last map i have got a extra 10 tho and a extra 17bhp :p. will be looking into getting a tubalar equal length manifold, new gas flowed head and cams over the next year but the powers good and works well and chassie mods are next after ive fitted the 4 pot brake kit.

not blaming edd tho Adam just saying what was said. Edd is a top guy and known him for a few years and his work is good.
