new engine help for suzuki sj413

sorry if in wrong place

I have a suzuki samurai SJ413 and i am having out with the petrol 1.3 unpowered monkey of an engine as i am putting toyota land cruiser axles on and want to pop in a diesel of 2.5 or more. does anyone have any experience with sj's and have any suggestions as to what engine i could use.

ello fella.
had a few of these for offroading when i was bout 15/16.
theres so many different engines to put in them seen 1.6 vitara lumps, peugeot diesels. try Rhino Ray in sussex hes the bloke who always used to help me out.

yeah we were going to put the 1.6 in but then we decided diesel for water reasons and now we want a big diesel so we dont need to worry about power, coz the axles winch bumpers winches and 34inch tall and 11inch wide tyres arent easy to move

the most common swap ive seen was a cut dwn range rover classic chassis with range rover running gear with the sj body just put on top. lol.
