Just after fitting my new brakes and this happens. It's a one way track so it will be difficult to pursue if the lady driver doesn't admin liability.
So far so good, the insurers have arranged to collect the car today and evaluate the work that needs to be completed. They will complete the work ASAP. The dispute over who's fault it is will decide whether I have to pay the £400 excess on my insurance.

Just what I need. I've got a trip booked to the ring on the 14th August in just over two weeks - great. So far, things for replacements are:

Alloy Wheel
Tyre
Wing
Bumper
Driveshaft
Not sure if anything else needs replacing until futher inspection. Lucky it wasn't a front on and everyone is ok but I can't quite treat it a just a piece of metal either :(

lol! Yep, she wasn't bad to look at. A strange sort of feeling where you want to smack her in the face and then on the ass!

Not my fault, I had stopped and she raced into me at 30mph plus bounced of my front wheel and arch and then careered into her parked position.
She bought her car for £800 so I can't see them repairing that. The repair bills add up quite quickly.

I'm not sure if they would find a single Rota alloys for mine or have to buy a set.... Same with the D2 suspension. I'm soon going to find out.

glad your okay dude, its a bit shit but no-one accepts liability unless there really honest. Im sure that they will find her at fault and if not maybe you should ask to come to some sort of "arrangement"..........giggaty!

i always thought starlets usually come off worse, but for once its the other way round, in the first pic barely anything looks wrong.

gutted mate, i love your gt :( my mate had is mr2 wrote off because they f*ck up one of his wheels and couldnt find a single one to replace it with :S

I'd be punchin her in the face while showin her who's daddy.

Least your both ok :) Hope you can get it sorted for the ring mate.

gutted mate but yeah looks like your car didnt come off too badly.

i wouldnt wait for the insurance to pay out / get you new parts as you defo wont be going anywhere within 2 weeks i can guarantee it!

either cancel your trip or try repair it yourself man.

if its compensation you need did you get her number lol :D

Adam - The insurers have arranged to collect the car today and value the cost of works. I will find out what garage they have taken the car to in a couple of days and should be able to find out what their opinion is.

Getting it repaired in two weeks is a tall order but I won't give up yet.

Oh, and you guys are terrible, all wanting to show the lady a good time! I could have used some dodgy chat up line like: Have you seen the movie - crash :) I'm not sure her parents or my lady would have been to pleased to see the introduction of my driveshaft.

Actually you should have started crying explaining how your GT isnt just a car, its more of a friend and let her comfort you in her bosom.

Just keep mithering the insurers tho mate, I drove my car to them within 2 days of the accident then didnt hear anything for about 3-4 weeks, it was only when I started to ring that i started to get anywhere with them.

Gutted for you matey, if it's damaged more than three major panels of the car, ie bumper, wing, bonnet, then they'll write it off.

it looks just like two panels, wing and front bumper. A write off would give me 80% of the care value in cash and me the car back if I wanted it. Now that would be a result (depending on valuation).

Dan - I won't be giving them time to think about this one. I can pursue a claim against my trip if I can't make it and will make it clear to them.

ATM - is that where the inspiration came from for cash machines....
