What a quality piece of engineering that bad boy is. He's got a Zilla motor controller too, they are pretty hard to get hold of. I like it.

Good idea, but look how much hassle he is still getting... And that's in hot climate - put his car in Cold climate and his batteries will die 2-3 times quicker. - Ever tried to use a mobile phone in -20C?
The batteries need improving a lot, and they're too heavy. Even though the engine is 80% efficient, which is awesome compared to any petrol/diesel engine. Hopefully in the near future we'll be able to get better batteries - for cheap price, then this idea will be good.
He could've used Li-Polymer instead of Li-Ion, but it cost a lot more.
