Hey guys just want to know what the law is on this
*what percentage you are allowed on the front two windows?
*What percentage are you allowed on the fron windscreen. I understand sunstrips wont pass the mot but i believe the front windscreen is allowed to be lightly fully tinted ie 25%

A link would be very useful so that i could print something for proof. Mate of mine just got stopped and was given £60 fine and 3points on the spot for his front windows being too dark.

Rule of the thumb - Don't touch the front windows mate. Not worth the associated hassle.
I agree with Jay. I nearly got 3 points for my front window tints, I'm lucky the officer was in a good mood so let me off with a £30 fine. I'm in the UK and I believe the Police are more strict in Ireland?

Put it this way, if you go to a professional winder tint company they will only tint windows rear of the middle pillar, ie after the front windows.

iirc its 30% or less on the front windows, which is apparently what some cars come out of the factory with so might not be worth the hassle
