right checked all the fuses had a 30 amp one gone (second from bottom) but would this stop the engine from turning over

well thanxs for all the imput guys and girls lol stripped off the sump this morning and found i snapped conrod and a nice whole in the block the size of a 10p, also got the head off aswell to check that for damage. i am goin to get the turbo off aswell see if that is ok still but as it stands the car is well fucked.

right here is the thing if i dont manage to get a claim then the car will be stripped and sold in parts as i just dont have the money to fix it. i am nearly in tears at the thought of gettin rid but i dont have any other option seems like right shit terms to have to give up my motor after i have had her for like 3 years.:(

just thought i would update this a little as this morning i found out that i also have 4 bent exhaust valves, so now how 2 very big paper weights lol

not yet and its with anglian water had to wirte a claim explaining wat happened, details etc and email it to them then they said the would process it as quick as possible so will ring them again tomorrow

well a little update nothin major, they are investigating the incident and have asked me to send them any evdience i have like pictures, witnesses etc and they need 2 quotations to repair the damage.

now because i need a whole new engine, the only place to get new engine from is toyota which is £££££ and the labour aswell (anyone know how much brand new engine is lol) so one of me good mates reckons they will try and class it as a right off which would mean lookin at the book price of my car.

not sure whether thats good or bad its annoying as they said could take a while to investigate mean while i am stuck without a car

Ask them if they will cover the costs of a courtesy car while they investigate as it not your fault and they keeping you of the road.

Good chance to get a forged one for your hassles to :p

hope it gets sorted for you mate
