Not what you would expect from a car specialist???

What a langer that " MR2 specalist " is, it's my understanding that your work advertises your buisness more than any banner add can, even if he refused to do a shoe string install in favor of a more expencive option you would understand. after all it's his company's reputation on the line. This excuse of you get what you paid for just don't fly IMO.

To be fair, He got 7 Hours labour for £120! even when his car was so liw it would not go on the car stand!, You get what you pay for imo and if it worked he got a bargain!

Yea i understand that but to be honest would you like to put your company name to that if you had one

Bit of other background as it says he offerd the install and fitting for 500£. Again in my opinion it just doesnt work. IMHO there should be only one level of service, no matterhow cheap your letting it go for. Even if he were to do the job for free, you would expect a certain level of pride. If it took 7 hours to do that job, god only knows how much it would have been for a ''decent'' install from the same people...

that work is a load of SHIT....!!!!

For a specialist company that is appalling regardless the price... although you do have a point alex, not about the bargain thing though..... That is a bodge job 100% in every way.... Dont advertise your something you are when frankly you really are not..

'kin ell. he just keeps spouting 'you get what you pay for' maybe if the customer knew he was gonna get such a shite job he'd have paid the extra.

Those welds make me laugh..i could have done better using my legs
Just to also add, it is a pain doing a chatgecooler on an mr2, as there is very limited space..but it can be done very well.

That is a joke of a job to be honest. He said that £120 was for labour charges which would normally get you 3 hours work, he then went on to say that he spent 7 hours work on this car so at £40 an hour would work out at £280, then he went on to say if you would have spent £280 on labour then you would have got a better job. Not really if thats the same amount of money he should have got charged.
If that was me I would take him to court....seriously bad job that has ruined that companies reputation and for what £120. He shouldnt offer a cheap service if he is going to have unhappy customers, if someone is modifying a car they usually prefer better parts and better work than a better price.

Very shoddy workmanship.. and his excuse of "you get what you pay for" is incredibly shocking seeing as he is the one that decides how much to charge for doing the job. If I was the owner of that MR2 I would be incensed aswell!

Serves him right for wanting a charge cooler :p

But regardless how much you pay, a proper job should still be done - and the onwer is well within his rights to complain.

I certainly would because I could do a better job than that myself.

don't think the trader has done him self any favors, acting more like a child then a reputable trader.

as for 'you get what you pay for', what a cop of shit, how are you ment to know what things cost if your not in the business? thats why you get quotes!

if your going to offer diffrent levels of service, then surely it's good business sense to let the customer know of all the options?? but saying thats a 7hr job, i would hate to see what the 3hr job would of looked like!

and if your a trader....would you really risk your reputation being dragged through the mud for the sake of a couple of hours work? couple of hundred?

Rather nasty work! Think i could attempt a better job than that!

Sadly though its happening more and more. Keep reading threads of a similar fashion. Cost me a lot of money using a tuner that didnt really know what they were doing. :(

that is shocking!! i would be more than unhappy if they gave my car back like that!! unless the company had fully explained to me that it would be shoddy, i would expect a perfect job even if they quoted £100!!

i am glad i have a garage i know and can trust because you really dont know what you are getting these days!!!

" really cant be bothered to read the whole thread... but the bare bones are you paid £500 for a charge cooler AND install... billy bargain!! Job look fine for what you paid for... As James has stated you got 7 hours worth of work for £120... what are you moaning about? "
