Could the OEM lambda sensor cause the engine to run lean on idle? If no what else could cause the engine to run lean on idle?

Any idea becasue on idle its running very lean 17 - 18 but on boost its running fine 12.

Is it possible for the engine to run smooth at idle with the afr very lean at 17 - 18 ?

are you refering to the hks afr unit? or the readings on the wideband ?

to run rich must be less than 10 do destroy the motor The af is a consistent 11.6af on boost, 14~15af on idle and 14.5~14.8af during cruising , just a question why are you runing a 16g turbo? becouse is away to big for a standard engine to take the full potentail of it better if ya stick with td o4

The spool up I have is the same as a TD04. I think I have found the problem, I have an exhaust leak before the aem wideband sensor. And I don't think that the engine could run smooth at 17-18 afr? because my engine is running very smooth. (accent_97 inti hu Harold ux? ax qed skola mijew)

nah it wont idle good for sure at that afr!! prova ehles mil leak 99.9% li min habba fekk

I have fixed the exhaust leaks and now its reading good at idle.
