Yes, the Magnatec is alright, but the Redline is as good as oil gets.

Thanks tim for all your help much apprecited mate keep up the fantastic work
Hi
Go for a 5w-40 synthetic in the engine.

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Fuchs Supersyn, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives. For track use, go for one of the better ones.
You need an MTF for the gearbox and I would go with the Redline MTL, Amsoil MTF or Fuchs Sintofluid.

The diff takes a 75w-90 or straight 90 LSD oil. Millers CRX, Fuchs Syn 5, Redline GL5, Motul 90PA or Fuchs Gear 90LS are ideal.

Hi mate,
am in need of some new gearbox oil which will also be fine to use with a quaife helical lsd, am i right in thinking 75w/90 would be the best to use?
if so could you point me in the direction of the best one? and im also unsure of how much id need to fill the gearbox!
was told you know a good gearbox oil when it smells of cat wee :S is that true? haha!
Make.
Model. glanza v
Year 97
Engine size/type. 4efte and hybrid ct9
Any mods. running 1 bar on standard internals. 190 bhp
Type of use (road/track) fast road
Additional info (max oil temps, current oil used) 100degrees, castrol 10w40 semi
What do you want a recommendation for? Engine....
I tend not to go sniffing cat wee, so I'm not sure, but Quaife only recommend the Fuchs Syn 5, so go for that.
