Oil everywhere?????

I was driving back from the bhp show and my temperature gauge hit the maximum and then the car cut out so I pulled over and when I lifted the bonnet there was oil absolutely everywhere including all down the drivers side of the car. I noticed my bottom radiator hose had split and I got the car towed to the nearest garage so I could jet was the oil off and it starts and runs fine but there is no oil coming from anywhere now? I'm baffled has anyone got any ideas?

last time i had a engine bay of oil was due to a hole in the piston which caused imbalance of pressures in engine and causes the blast of oil out the breather.all due to over boosting ever so slightly.

The oil has defiantly not come from the breather or bov and now the engine is clean I just can't see where it's coming from even when it's running

if its gone between an oil/water way it will mix

Was it definitely engine oil?

Yes it's definatly oil

My mechanic has just looked at in and he is saying its the crank shaft oil seal

cant be a seal left if its spunking that much out!!!!

i bet u blown out the intake camshaft blanking plug i did this 1s oil everywhere
take of camcover to check

well it turns out now my headgasket is shot to pieces aswell but ill check that aswell mate
