oil sandwhich plate problem

hey guys can someone give me some advice on what to do got a sard sandwhich plate and the sensor fr the oil temp gauge cant thread into the plate as its too long anyone got any ideas on how to make it work??

you can attach an other piece between with inside an outside threed just to extend it. you need male to female at whetever '' is your sensor and your plate. So you will bolt the sensor in there and all of it to the oil plate. Sorry i dont know the correct word for the extension in English.

Something like this but fitted to your threeds. Hope it helps. You can find it in a store with water pipes or air pipes and parts.

No problem mate. You also can have a custom one made in whatever lenght you want in a machine shop.
