Oil temp Sender fitment?

Just a quick one lads if anyone would be so kind to help me out here.
Fitted an oil temp gauge today but did not have time to fit the sender or even have a look at where it goes, is an oil filter sandwich plate needed to fit this or is there a grub/plug I can remove to make way for it?

You can fit a t piece in the block where the stock sender goes then fit the stock and gauge sender into it. Its been covered quite a few times as to what size and where to buy them from, if you do a quick search in the tech section you will get loads of info about it.
