I have a little Problem!

I don't know if this is possible!

I run the first time for this year my 4efte Corolla!

And i see over 130° Oil temp.!

But this shouldn't be possilbe because why should i get this oil temp when water is on 90°!

That is strange!

Maybe my Oil temp gauge is reading wrong!

I am using a dfi gauge!

But all other DFI Gauges readings are correct!

And also EGT Temp. never goes over 700° with a very save tune on Emanage Ultimate!

Is it the gauge or ist this oil temp. possible?

Thanks a lot for help!

Oil temp has nothing to do with water temperature.

Remember oil is not only a lubricant but also a coolant for the engine components, it takes the heat away caused by friction.

You may be runnig too thick of a viscosity causing extra friction and therefore heat, but this depends on how you're driving the car. I had mine at over 120c so if this is in harsh driving then the figure looks accurate!

- What driving conditions are causing this temperature?
- Where is the oil temp sender located?
- What oil do you have in the engine?
- Do you mean DEFI gauges?
